| Dejan Restak, studied information system engineering and is now the CEO of B92.net, currently the most successful Serbian language website. Since 1994 he has followed B92.net through it’s entire development – first as webmaster, then project leader and finally as CEO and editor in chief. In the last three years he has taken part in setting up new, financially independent local media in transition and post-conflict areas. As a consultant he has supported projects in Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Russia. In this he worked with experienced media specialists from BBC, CNN and Reuters. |
»Quality thinking« - a 24/7 round table with the community of B92.net
As far as the B92.net blog is concerned, we can safely say that it is an oasis of diverse opinion among the Serbian media. Writers hail mostly from the Serbian public sphere and various sections of society (scientists, actors, writers, politicians, musicians …). The website functions as a kind of 24-hour round table, directed and created by the B92.net community. Events are also followed by the leading Serbian media, where we find quotes from the blog almost daily. We will learn more about the life and role of the B92.net community among the Serbian media during the lecture.
